Most of my work is on systems that are already running. At KWS Seuren I am the technical owner of the core platform: architecture, backend services, financial workflows, integrations and infrastructure, built on TypeScript, Node.js and React. Twenty to thirty people work in it every day, and the shop takes around two thousand visitors a day: searching, ordering, paying, and the mail that goes with it. A mistake in the application shows up in production immediately, when thirty people can't do their work.
Before that I spent four years at Ibeo Automotive on a physics-based 3D rendering framework in C++ and CUDA: rendering and simulation that has to stay correct inside a fixed time budget.
Web applications and REST APIs on TypeScript, Node.js and React — from the data model and backend services through to the interface people actually work in.
Native and GPU-accelerated software in C++ and CUDA: rendering, simulation and tooling, with the build and test setup to keep it maintainable.
Responsibility for the whole — architecture, integrations, deployment, and the technical decisions the system has to live with for years.
Research into physically based hair rendering, and two platforms that are in daily use.
